This variable indicates that a respondent received veterans compensation or pension
benefits in month M. M goes from 1 to 48 and represents the month number since the
start of panel_1stfullyear. The variable comes from the core file. I08REC1-I08REC4
in 1984; R08 in the 1990, 1991, 1992, and 1993 panels; ER08 in the 1996, 2001, 2004,
and 2008 panels.
